Raisah Ahmed
Raisah Ahmed is a Screenwriter and Director and a 2024 Screen Scotland & Screen International Rising Star Scotland.

She is currently developing WW1 feature 'Half-Moon Camp' with Producer Zorana Piggott, Film4 and Screen Scotland, and action film 'Hina & Kara VS The Assassin' with Producer Reece Cargan and Screen Scotland.

Raisah is adapting and co-writing Finnish eco-thriller 'Sands of Sarasvati' for Momentum Films and Making Movies with support from Screen Scotland and the Finnish Film Foundation.
She was part of the writers' room for the CH4 Series, 'We Are Lady Parts’. Currently, she is adapting and is the Executive Producer on Martin Sixsmith’s ‘Ayesha’s Gift’ with Freedom Scripted, as well as developing 'Nur’, a 6-part original romcom with Carolynne Sinclair Kidd and BBC Scotland, as well as writing on the 'Balamory' reboot for Lion TV and CBeebies.
Her directing credits include CBBC's 'Sparks', 'Molly & Mack’, BBC3's 'The Break' and writing on BBC The Social's award-winning phone drama 'Control' and WB Discovery animated series, 'Toad and Friends'.
Raisah is on the BAFTA Scotland Committee, the Scottish Youth Film Foundation Board, and chairs the Glasgow Film Festival Industry Advisory Group.
